I always have some Amaretto at home; not for drinking, since for preparing different kind of dessert and give the particular taste to sweets. I don’t drink pure Amaretto, as it is too sweet for me, but in this variation with the sour of the lemon everything changed and, oh WOW, this was good!

The mentioned quantities made two portions for us, which I decorated with candied cherries!


  • 3 ounces of Amaretto
  • 2 ounces simple syrup
  • 1/1/2 ounces lemon juice
  • Ice, as needed
