This is a super easy bread that we enjoyed and we’ll make again and again.

I opted for a round shape and had fund making a spiral incision just before baking,

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Quicker Sourdough Bread

My experiences with sourdough convinced me that sourdough starter is a very versatile “ingredient” and I can produce very tasty and light breads with it.

Year ago knew sourdough bread only very dense dark breads, but… this is only the kind of bread I get here.

In Greece sourdough bread are different, different in the taste than the conventional yeast bread and very different than the sourdough bread in northern Europe.

I prepared this bread following the recipe “quicker sourdough bread ” on http://www.food.com/recipe/quicker-sourdough-bread-488580 posted by Red Apple Guy.

The result is very stunning! Thanks a lot Red for posting your recipe!

Homemade Baileys Irish Cream

I scaled down the original recipe and used the ingredients i hae on hand.

I will enjoy this Irish cream with my family and I will make it again when it’s needed.

Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and simply make it again when needed, It’s so simple

Adapted recipe ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup whiskey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk (possible option still to try: 1 cup powdered sugar)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon  chocolate syrup (homemade or powdered cacao)
